Ever thought about a career in care but thought for some reason it is not for you?

Here are some common issues we hope to dispel-

πŸ€” Do we have work for Male carers in the community? πŸ‘ Absolutely ! It’s great to be able to offer our customers a choice between Male/ female carers. Some of our customers prefer Male carers for their care!

πŸ€” Am I too old to work in care? πŸ‘Ž You’re not too old to work in care. In fact it could make the perfect role if you are looking for part time flexible hours after retirement ! It’s social and you can do as few hours as you would like. Perhaps a companion sit for a couple of hours per week keeping someone company?

πŸ€” I don’t think care is a career! πŸ‘Ž you can 100% build a career in care if you want to. With the huge rate of growth in this industry there is plenty of opportunity to progress into almost any role from finance to care management, HR to auditing there are so many possibilities.

πŸ€” Do I need to drive to work in the community? πŸ‘Ž No ! It is an advantage to drive but not a requirement. You would need to be based in/ near the area you want to work in however, and be prepared to take public transport to meet your colleagues if needed at the start/ end of a shift.

For more info about opportunities at Expertise Homecare please message Erika Pipitone and she can put you in contact with your nearest branch 😁
